Undying(Dota Hero Information)

Hero Skills :

Decay

Dirge saps away the strength
of enemy heroes and retains
it for a period of time.

Soul Rip

Redirects the flow of living energy through
a target
friend or foe, damaging them or
healing them depending
on how many units
are near it. 25 for each unit.

Tombstone

Unholy powers summon a cursed tombstone.
Zombies will
frequently spawn near each enemy
unit and attack them.
Zombies have a passive
that additively slow their target by 7%.
Zombies
cannot be controlled.

Flesh Golem

Dirge's hatred for all living beings allows him to transform
into a monster.
While he's transformed he carries a plague
that affects nearby enemy units.
Strength of the plague
depends on how close the enemy is. Amplifies damage
enemy units
receive and reduces their movement speed. When a plagued
unit dies,
its essence is transfered back to the Undying, healing it for
6%. (2%)
( if non-hero) of its maximum life. Lasts 30 seconds.

Undying Background Story

Considered to be an exceptionally filthy and despicable
specimen by all who encounter him, including his fellow
zombies, Dirge has wandered in from the wastes outside
to serve the Lich King in hopes of finally obtaining a place
of acceptance amongst the Undead masses. While he is still
considered to be unpleasant as ever by the rest of the Scourge,
his horrifying abilities, which include raising self-replicating
lesser ghouls and spreading vile, rapidly communicable plague
throughout the enemy ranks, are unquestionably powerful and
may just give the Scourge the edge they need to complete their
unholy conquest once and for all.

Lightning Revenant(Dota Hero Information)

Hero Skills :

Plasma Field

Razor releases a wave of energetic plasma. which grows
in power as it extends outwards. Deals damage to units both
on expansion and on contraction. The further the plasma is
from Razor the more energy it has.

Static Link

Taps into the energy of a target hero, creating a charged
link between Razor and his foe. As long as this link is maintained,
Razor will continue to steal damage from the target and add
it to his own. Drains up to 10 seconds. Bonus lasts 13 seconds
after that.

Unstable Current

Razor's very body is a constantly shifting miasma of dark
energy. This unnatural state allows him to move with supernatural
speed, and any foe foolish enough to launch a direct magical
assault against him will have their boldness rewarded with a
shock of purging electricity.

Eye of the Storm

The Lightning Revenant calls upon a powerful storm
of crackling energy, which strikes weakened enemies with
deadly bolts of lightning. The storm is charged with Razor's
malevolent will, and will seek out only the most injured targets
for its armor shattering blasts.

View Lightning Revenant Statistics

Lightning Revenant Background Story

Razor is lightning incarnate. It is a living being, capable only
of unleashing it's tremendous electrical power to anything
and everything nearby. The only indication of sentience from
it is its ability to control its surges, which never seems to actually
strike any it would call friend. Like its namesake, it cuts to the
bone, with speed and accuracy, sometimes jumping from one
thing to another. Its unnatural form gives it speed, and a thirst
for blood. It is a force to be reckoned with, and only the strong
dare face it.

Geomancer(Dota Hero Information)

In the right hands, Meepo is a deadly weapon, with the
potential
to take on multiple enemies at the same time.
He has the capabilities
to slow his enemies to a crawl,
to permanently stop an enemy from
moving, and teleport
across the entire map in a Poof! His main strength,
and
greatest weakness, is his ability to divide himself into 4

identical
clones, each possessing his full skill-set, and a
copy of his shoes. Geomancer
players must take care,
however, as the death of one clone means the
death of all
Divided They
Stand, but United They Fall!

Hero Skills :

Earthbind

Rains earthen spikes across a
target area, pinning down all
ene
my units.

Poof

Drawing mystical energies from the earth, Meepo can
teleport to another Geomancer, leaving destruction in his
wake. After channeling for 1.5 seconds, Meepo instantly
teleports to nearest target Geomancer, dealing damage
in 400 AOE in the departure and arrival locations.

Geostrike

The Geomancer enchants his weapon with the essence
of the earth, crushing the life from his enemies and numbing
their legs. Slows target movement speed and deals damage
per second. These effects are additive with other geomancers.
Lasts 2 seconds.

Divided we Stand

Meepo summons an imperfect, semi-autonomous
duplicate of himself, which can gain gold and experience
as he does and shares his experience and abilities.
However, the clones cannot wield any items but the boots
that Meepo himself wears. If any of the clones die, they all die.

Geomancer Background Story

Originally worshipped by the pagan tribes of Germania and the
black forests that encompassed it, Meepo is a mischievous spirit
of the earth who enjoys burying his enemies alive in mountains
of rock spikes, pinning them down into helplessness as he pummels
them into submission with his mighty shovel. The most disturbing
of the Geomancer's powers, however, is his ability to separate his
being into multiple selves, each as powerful as the original and making
him potentially four times the trouble for the unlucky who encounter him.

Faceless Void(Dota Hero Information)

Darkterror is a master of time and space, often bending it to
his will. He can Time Walk to jump forward small distances,

causing the movement of enemies around his destination point

to be slowed. He is also able to passively revert quickly to a
past
moment to avoid damage, and lock time on a target to
bash them
without missing a beat. Faceless Void can rip open
a Chronosphere
in space time to stop all units inside it, except
for himself, to wreak
havoc as he pleases. While he is initially
weak, you should never
underestimate a hero wi
th great damage potential that also has the
ability to stop time. Never.

Hero Skills :

Time Walk

Quickly moves to a target location and slows
the movement and attack of all units at the end
of its path for 3 seconds.

Backtrack

Whenever damage is received, Faceless Void moves
a moment back in time to try to dodge that damage.
Can backtrack both physical and magical attacks.

Time Lock

Gives a chance that an attack will
do bonus
damage and lock a unit
in time.

Chronosphere

Faceless Void creates a rip in spacetime causing all units
in that area to become trapped for its duration. Faceless
Void has a mysterious connection with spacetime that
causes him to be unaffected by the sphere. Casting range
increases per level.

View Faceless Void Statistics

Faceless Void Background Story

They say he was once human, but his background is shrouded
in darkness, even to himself. What we know is that he was thrown
into the Void between worlds and has emerged with the power of
manipulating time. He can freeze his enemies in time and avoid hits
by traveling a split-second back in time, right before receiving the
blow. He can briefly rip apart the fabric of space-time to freeze both
allies and opponents around him, yet remain free himself to act. It is
rumored that he can instantly strike any man in a legion of soldiers,
but nobody sees him move...

Drow Ranger(Dota Hero Information)

The Drow Ranger is able to be quite a versatile fighter. She
can provide constant support with her Frost Arrows to keep
enemies pinned, Silence them so they can't retaliate with spells
once they're forced to fight, and deal nice damage with her
passive Trueshot Aura and Marksmanship abilities, which
capitalize on and offer agility respectively. A good Archer will
keep their distance, kiting an enemy in constant barrage, never
letting them get dangerously close, and Traxex can achieve just
that.

Hero Skills :

Frost Arrows

Induces a freezing effect to the hero's
attacks.
Each attack slows the enemy's
movement and attack rates.

Silence

Stops all enemies in a target
area from casting spells.

Trueshot Aura

An aura that gives friendly nearby units
bonus damage to their ranged attacks.

Markmanship

The Ranger's accuracy
has increased.

Drow Ranger Background Story

Traxex was a skilled archer in her oppressive underground
homeland, the Underdark, until she grew sick of her kin's evil
ways and fled to the surface world. As a part of her resolution,
she joined the Sentinel, bringing her excellent marksmanship
to the fray. Some of her abilities include stripping magical beings
of their voices, and enchanting her arrows with an icy cold. While
such powers are valuable, her true origin will never cease to linger
around in the judging eyes of others.

Bounty Hunter(Dota Hero Information)

Bounty Hunters like Gondar do not play by the rules. His
ideal
attack pattern is to initiate from the shadows and
stab you in
the back. He'll keep this up if unchecked, and
carries deadly
Shurikens to deal high ranged damage as
well. He also learns
to deal critical blows and evade attacks,
allowing his strength
to match his cunning later on. What sets
him aside from any
other killer, however, is that he doesn't
work for fre
e. Gondar can Track his targets, lowering their
armor, monitoring their
location, making them easier to chase,
and providing a hefty
gold reward if the poor sap winds up
dead--which he makes
often the case.

Hero Skills :

Shuriken Toss

The Bounty Hunter throws a shuriken
at a target unit, dealing damage.

Jinada

Passively adds a critical strike and
maim to
Bounty Hunter's next attack,
has a cooldown.

Wind Walk

Turns invisible for a period of time.
Deals bonus
backstab damage.
Transition time decreases per level.

Track

Tracks an enemy hero for 30 seconds or
until it dies.
Allied units near the tracked
target gain 20% movement speed
increase.
If the target dies, Bounty Hunter gets bonus gold.

Bounty Hunter Background Story

Gondar is a Draenei that is often called upon for his superior
skills. Not much is known about his past, but his capabilities
are extraordinary. Some believe he learned from a ninja clan
while others say he was born with his amazing abilities. He is
able to throw shurikens with extreme accuracy and has the
strength to strike down any foe with his two swift blades. His
agility is matched by none, and his stealth is inferior only to few.
He is interested in the conflict for money alone, and is promised
a large reward.

The Harreke New Dota-AI map Developer

When God-Tony refused the proposal of developing AI after
the retirement of BuffMePlz, the community was searching
for the person who could continue the development of AI.
Now, IceFrog has found a new AI Map Developer in task
who's name is Harreke. He'll be following the BuffMePlz
work and planning to release Dota 6.67c AI map.

Here is what IceFrog
posted on PlayDotA Forums:

First i want to thank BMP for all his work on the AI maps.
He has worked hard to make Dota players happy, so please
show him your aprreciation.

As some of you might know, BMP has retired from AI map
development, and has finally located a successor to continue
the developmet; Harreke. Harreke has been researching AI
map technology for a while now and has been following BMP's
work. He dedicated to building the new AI maps based on BMP's
code and to expand the mapdevelopment process to allow for
faster updates for the future versions.

He expects to release Dota 6.67c AI soon and the prepare for
Dota 6.68 AI map.

GOd-tony Refused on developing DOTA-AI maps

After the sad Retirement of BuffMePlz(BMP) the ex-DotA AI developer. The
Community was seeking for an AI developer like BuffMePlz who could carry
on with the work. So, God-Tony (killerbee) was asked to continue the development
of AI Maps from now on. Recently, he has replied on his blog about the future of
the DotA AI. You can read it below:

GoD-Tony Decision:

Taking this blog in a slightly different direction, I'll write a bit about my
thoughts on DotA AI and the retirement of BuffMePlz.

I recently received an email from BMP informing me of his decision, as
well as his offer of general guidance to lead my own AI project. My first
reaction was "Why didn't I get an email like this sooner?"

I believe that if an AI project had been worked together by a team of people,
then it wouldn't have come down to this. It's really too much to take on by
one person.

The idea of posting my Pre-Alpha builds of RGB's AI for the newest version
at the time was to spark some interest in development in an otherwise dead
scene. I knew BMP wasn't interested in wasting his time with people that
thought they "could help" but couldn't do anything other than offer another
opinion. This was a way of proving that there were certainly people interested
in helping, myself and Cipd included

That was almost a year ago when my interest for developing AI was at it's
peak,
and when I received no response regarding those maps, I moved on
to the next
idea. This was to create an Open AI for DotA that could be ported
to the latest
version almost instantly, and Open in the sense that it would be
very easy for
others to contribute (especially open source).

Even though I completed the code-base for this project, it still needed some
real
AI to go along with it. This was back in January, and once again with no
response
or input from the ones I contacted, and the continuation of BMPs'
ports of RGBs'
maps, I decided that it was a wasted effort.

What I'm getting at here is that it's basically too little too late. I believe DotA
for Warcraft 3 is near it's death. With Heroes of Newerth released just days
ago,
Starcraft 2 coming out this year, and the possibility of IceFrog moving on
to
Valve, by the time I created a decent AI, DotA would be on a different platform.

I don't see myself working on an AI for Dota now or in the future, and the only
way i could see this changing is if some very ambitious developers came forward
and teamed up as it should be done.

Slithereen Guard(Dota Hero Information)

Slardar is a powerful close range stunner and physical damage fighter.
He excels at chasing down fragile heroes and bashing them into the dirt.
Slithereen Crush and Bash allow him to stun and damage a target, then
follow up with additional bashes to keep them stunned and finish them
off. To get into close enough range to make use of his stun skills, Slardar
uses Sprint. Sprint gives him a massive movement speed bonus for a relatively
long duration, but causes him to take extra damage from enemy attacks and
spells. This downside makes good Sprint usage critical for Slardar: trying to
catch a fleeing hero with Sprint can often turn into a trap, and due to the extra
damage Slardar can get into a lot of trouble. To help keep an eye on his target
and make sure they go down quickly, Slardar uses Amplify Damage. This ability
gives him vision of a target unit and drastically reduces their armor, making them
easy prey for his powerful attacks. If faced with this dangerous hero, it's best to
keep him as far away as possible.

Hero Skills :

Sprint

Slardar increases his movement speed
dramatically, but takes 15% bonus damage.

Slithereen Crush

Slams the ground, stunning and damaging
nearby enemy land units. Slows enemy units by
20% for 2 seconds afterwards.

Bash

Gives a chance that an attack will do bonus
damage and stun an opponent for 1 second.

Amplify Damage

Amplifies physical damage against enemy
units by reducing their armor.

After a millennium of being trapped under the raging waters of the
Maelstrom, Slardar rose from its chaotic depths with his brethren to
serve the mighty demon lord, Illidan Stormrage. Fanatically devoted
to his cause, this Naga fought valiantly along his side until he succumbed
to fatal wounds in the heat of battle. Salvation finally seemed within
grasp - that is until his fate became intertwined with the grim reach of
the Lich King. Reincarnated as a soulless beast without emotion, Slardar
tears through the enemy lines with inhuman speed, striking them out
cold with mighty blows, undeterred in his quest to fulfill Ner'zhul's every
whim.

Skeleton King(Dota Hero Information)

Despite the overall simplicity of the Skeleton King's skills, he is one
of the
most dangerous close combat heroes to fight against, and he
becomes
extremely powerful when equipped with good items. Hellfire
Blast is his
one active spell, and it allows him to catch and kill enemies.
Vampiric Aura
and Critical Strike make him deadly in a straight fight;
the Skeleton King
hits hard and gains life with every attack. Even if
Leoric seems to be destroyed, he is still not beaten. This is where his
signature ability comes in: Reincarnation. As long as Reincarnation is
ready and the Skeleton King has enough mana, he will
revive where he
fell after a few se
conds at full strength. Reincarnation makes the Skeleton
King
very difficult to defeat, since you essentially have to kill him twice.

Hero Skills :

Hellfire Blast

Leoric launches a sphere of hellfire from the end
of his sword, causing his victim to burst into flames.
Deals damage and stuns for 2 seconds.

Vampiric Aura

Nearby friendly melee units gain hit
points when they hit enemy units.

Critical Strike

Gives a chance to do more
damage on an attack.

Reincarnation

When killed the Skeleton King
will come back to life.

Skeleton King Background Story

Once a noble knight protecting his kingdom, the man was thrown into
Hell, where he was ripped apart over and over for centuries. Now, Lucifer
has thrown him back onto the soil, corrupted and mindless, as King Leoric,
the Skeleton King. He marches on, leading his minions with an unfaltering
gaze, knowing only one thing: the orders given to him by the dark lord himself.
Able to cripple his opponents by drawing power from the fiery depths of hell
itself, King Leoric is a major threat on the battlefield. His mighty blade allows
him and others in his presence to drain the blood of their enemies. It is said
that he is unkillable, and those who are struck down by his hellfire don't wake
up again.
